- My wife, Lisa, and I have decided that a global financial crisis and an impending worldwide recession was a perfect excuse to beat a retreat from New York City and take a two month sabbatical traveling through India. We are traveling with our son, Nicholas, who is ten and our daughter, Nora, who is turning eight exactly halfway through our trip.

It sounds like you are having a fabulous time. If you are in Jaisalmer you must be getting ready to take a camel ride out into the desert. It was the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. We were surely thinking of you election night. I even texted you when Ohio went for Obama, on the slim chance you still had your cell operating.
